Children & Parents


Children are a huge part of the heart and ministry at New Life Church. Through age-appropriate programs, children take a wonderful journey through the Bible to discover the amazing truths about God. The following classes take place during each New Life service, unless otherwise noted.

Nursery [newborn – age 2]
The Nursery staff is committed to love babies and affirm parents on Jesus' behalf. Each week we integrate music, play, and tell Bible stories. For more information, contact Heidie Clare | 425.212.4138.

Preschool [age 3 – K]
Preschoolers learn through hands-on activities, worship and creative storytelling. Children will grow in their understanding of Christ's love for them and learn basic Bible truths, all while building relationships with loving adults. For more information, contact Catherine Weholt  | 425.212.4135.

Elementary [1st-5th grade]

1st-2nd Coordinator - Kristin Lie
On Sunday mornings, children will get a strong foundation of God’s story as they learn about the Bible and the stories that make up our faith using TRU Curriculum from David C. Cook Publications.
 
3rd-5th Coordinator - Patty Thometz
Students will follow the Big Idea by learning an age-appropriate version of what adults are learning in the Worship Center. Along with the Big Idea, students in these grades will be learning the concepts presented in J12 (Jesus at 12) which is a curriculum designed to ignite tweens (kids age 8-12) in their relationship with God by learning to “be about their Father’s business.” J12 ministries. Exceptional Kids [special needs’ children]
Every Sunday at 10 & 11:30AM in Room 103 - The focus of the program is helping kids know Jesus through love, prayer and worship on an individual basis. We encourage kids to be all God created them to be, and we accept and love them as they are. For more information, contact Aimee Dunbar  | 425.387.9919.

Wednesdays @ 7PM
Children learn a basic understanding about the nature of God and a commitment to apply His character in their culture. The lessons are relevant, kid-centric, and Bible-based. Wednesday Night includes a local outreach to the community; every week, 40+ kids are picked up by New Life vans so they may attend church with their friends. For more information contact Patty.

Electronic Check In For Kids!
There are Electronic Check In Hubs near each main entrance of the NL building. This is a fun, easy and safe way to welcome all the kids into their various classrooms - birth through high school.
