FAQs

Are children allowed? Where do I drop off and pickup my kids?
Kids are always welcome at New Life. We have dedicated, age-appropriate services for kids preschool and younger at Good Friday, as well as for 12th grade and younger on Sunday morning. If you’re planning on bringing your kids, you can let us know you’re coming here to speed up the check-in process. Visit the First-Time Family Desk in our courtyard to get your kids checked in, and a volunteer will show you to their classrooms. Kids are also welcome in the main service if you’d like to attend as a family.

What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in! You’ll see people in their Sunday-best while others are in jeans and a t-shirt. Easter is a church holiday that many people choose to dress up for, but overall, we’re pretty casual.

What are services like? How long are they?
You can expect an Easter service consisting of encouraging worship and a gospel-centered sermon, concluding with water baptisms. Good Friday service will look a little different— a more contemplative experience with musical performances and scripture readings. Both services will be around an hour.

When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes before the service begins. This will give you time to find a parking spot, get your kids checked in, grab a coffee, and be seated before service starts.

I’m not a Christian / don’t believe in God. Can I still come?
Of course. Whether you want to come to church to find out more about God or just to spend time in community and enjoy some great music, please know that you’re welcome.

Do I have to take communion?
We take communion to remember Jesus’ sacrifice, but participation is not required. We will offer communion at Good Friday services and all are welcome to partake, if you’d like.

Will you be taking an offering?
We receive an offering every Sunday, but please do not feel any pressure to give as a guest. We believe that generosity is a biblical practice for members of a church family, but is not expected for people visiting New Life.

Do I have to identify myself as a visitor?
At no point will you be asked to stand, raise your hand, or wear a name tag that says you're a visitor. We do encourage you to stop by the First Time Guest Desk in the courtyard for a gift though!

Where do I sit?
You can sit wherever you’d like! There is no assigned seating. The loudest section of our room is in the center— we’d recommend sitting in the first few rows if you’re concerned about volume.

Do I have to shake hands or greet my neighbor?
We have a short time in our service where people may say hello to those seated around them, but participation is not required. Many choose to simply give a head nod and a “Good Morning.”

What does your church believe?
You can find more information about New Life and our beliefs here.
